TIME TO SHED THOSE LOCKDOWN POUNDS
As revealed in our Summer newsletter and also on this website, South Oxhey Leisure Centre is opening its doors once again on 1 September. The old building has been undergoing extensive redevelopment alongside the new swimming pool and will the perfect venue to shed those lockdown pounds.
The opening is happening in stages during September and here’s the timetable that your local Labour team wants to share with you.
1 September: Gym, group fitness classes and group cycling studio are up and running
14 September: Swimming pools are set to make a splash alongside Sports Hall 1
19 September: Swimming lessons start and car park opens
21 September: Sports Hall 2 ready for use
“This facility is going to be a really great asset for South Oxhey and replaces the old pool in Altham Way. While the car park is unavailable I urge considerate parking in nearby Henbury Way and All Saints Church car parks to help local residents and ensure buses and other large vehicles can get by,” said Councillor Stephen Cox.
