Stephen King
Stephen King’s family ties with the South Oxhey are long and deep-rooted.  His grandparents moved to the area in  1949.  He himself came to South Oxhey in 1974. 
 
He was educated locally at Oxhey Wood Primary School in Oxhey Drive and completed his education at the now demolished Sir James Altham Secondary School on the estate.
 
He has served as a Parish Councillor for 20 years and on Three Rivers District Council for over a decade.  He is married to Joan and his parents, Michael and Pam live on the estate also.
 
He is a keen supporter of Millwall Football Club and his hobbies include history (particularly the English Civil War), traveling and metal detecting. He is a former standard bearer for the Royal British Legion and works as a locksmith.
