Over 100 mixed daffodil bulbs were planted at the junction of Little Oxhey Lane and Prestwick Road by the Labour team in October. Councillors Stephen Cox, Stephen King and William Waite were joined by local resident Clare Leahy.
There efforts were featured in the Watford Observer. Councillor Cox funded the bulbs and the location was agreed with the Parish Council.

Hydrangea bush is save
Plenty of sweat and toil see the hydrangea bush removed
Councillor Stephen Cox was delighted when Countryside Homes allowed him to dig up what remained of a hydrangea bush from the garden of 18 Pennard House in Oxhey Drive before it was demolished during December. His grandmother had lived there for well over 30 years from the 1960s until the early 1990s before moving to Clitheroe Gardens.
Councillors Cox and Stephen King battled for well over half an hour with spades and even a pick-axe was also used to remove the well-established bush.

“It holds fond memories for me and has sentimental value. I am grateful to Dan King of Countryside Homes for letting me onto the site to rescue it before the bulldozers moved in. I am pleased to say it survived the re-planting in my garden,” he said.
