Local elections boost for Labour ...
Labour stormed to victory across South Oxhey at the local elections on Thursday 2 May.
Stephen Cox retained his South Oxhey seat on the district council and in the process polled almost 50% of the votes cast.
Joan and Stephen King of Blairhead Drive were returned to the Parish Council for the Hayling Ward and comfortably saw off the Conservative challenge.
William Waite gained the Ashridge seat on Watford Rural Parish Council by easily beating his Tory rival.
The two gains from the Conservatives and one from UKIP (sitting as independent) gave Labour back overall control as we now hold 8 of the 15 seats.
In Oxhey Hall and Hayling Ward of Three Rivers District Council, Labour improved its position and came second for the first time ever since the ward was created by the Boundary Commission in 2014.
