Lidl and electric charging points are on the way

SOUTH Oxhey will soon be boosted with the addition its first electric charging points and the opening of a brand new Lidl supermarket in November.
The retailer has told your Labour team that it will announce the opening date a fortnight before it happens.
The store will boast a 58 space ground floor covered car park accessed from Oxhey Drive.
There will be a further 11 parking spaces with two electronic charging points, together with three parent and child spaces along with three disabled spaces in bays facing onto Prestwick Road.
Lidl are also promising a cash back facility without the need to shop and the store will have customer toilets.

More public charging points
Labour pressure has led to even more good news. Three Rivers District Council has finally agreed to install a minimum of one rapid and two fast charging points in South Oxhey in the near future.
“We’ve plugged away at this and finally sparked them into action. We have suggested that the Henbury Way car park may be the best location subject to any power supply issues,” said Councillor Cox.
Councillor Stephen King, a member of the Community Board overseeing the redevelopment works, went on a tour and visited a sixth-floor flat and was able to see the internal podium garden coming along.
